Medical Services

Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s Medical Services Center provides psychiatric care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults who are referred by therapists or primary care providers. Our team of board-certified psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners offers evaluations, medication management, and patient education while working closely with other behavioral health programs to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.

How to Get Care

Appointments with our Center for Medical Services are made by referral only. Referrals come from Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s therapist and clinicians. Referrals are also accepted from area medical providers.

Medical Services patients are typically referred to care by a behavioral health therapist or their primary care provider. Staff in our Medical Services Center is made up of board-certified psychiatrists and Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners who provide general psychiatric care and assessments. Along with, medication management,  patient education and other services to young children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. 

Staff in our Center for Medical Services work closely with other departments and programs at Four Rivers Behavioral Health, including our Center for Adult Services, Center for Specialized Children’s Services, Crisis Care and Substance Use Treatment programs and services for people with an Intellectual and Developmental Disability. Patients receiving care from Medical Services must also be participating in therapy or other mental health care services with Four Rivers Behavior Health, giving them the benefit of the close relationship our medical providers have with other agency staff.

Medical Services care includes psychiatric evaluation, education, diagnostics and the administration of prescription medication. Typically, patients referred to Medical Services are experiencing symptoms associated with issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD or autism spectrum disorders. Services are also provided to individuals diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability.
