By giving to Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s Charitable Foundation you are helping us help those we serve find their best life path. Donations are tax deductible and you will receive a donation confirmation letter for every gift, regardless of how much you give. We hope you will become our partner in providing Mindful Care to people in the community we share.
Every gift matters, here are a few examples of how your donation can help.
The Zone is Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s Youth Drop-In Center for transition aged youth aged 16 – 25, many of which are at an increased risk for substance use disorders or mental health concerns and often have an unstable home life. You can learn more about the Zone here.
Centerpoint is our long-term, residential treatment center for men with substance use disorders. AA Books and other program materials can be costly and your help would make a difference. You can learn more about Centerpoint and all our
substance use services here.
During a typical year, Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s in-school clinicians conduct nearly 10,000 sessions and that’s just in schools! Therapeutic tools for children tend to be expensive and are often workbooks or coloring pages that the child takes home. Our Center for Specialized Children’s Services is always in need of therapy coloring books, crayons and note pads. Your donation can help fill
that gap. Learn more about Children’s Services here.
People in crisis often have nowhere to turn. We provide a caring voice on the other end of the phone line or a bed to sleep in while determining
next steps after a crisis incident like a suicide attempt. Learn more about crisis services here..
Creative Enterprises is our day program for people with an intellectual or developmental disability like Down Syndrome or Autism. The day program helps participants learn practical skills like cooking, grocery shopping or how to manage finances. Plus, they have lots of fun on field trips – whether they are picking their own strawberries or spending an afternoon learning to make pottery, your gift makes sure no one is left behind. Find out more about Creative Enterprises here.
Oftentimes a mental health problem can lead a family struggling with practical concerns like having food and clothing or even simple things like back-to-school supplies. When someone suffers from a mental health problem, the whole family is impacted. Our Case Managers work with the whole family to provide whatever is needed to support them in their recovery. Learn more about case management for serious mental illness here.
People who are new to recovery from a substance use disorder may have lost everything due to their addiction including their job, car or maybe even a
home. Turning Point, Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s Recovery Community Center is designed to give people new to recovery a leg up. Turning Point staff may help someone find a new job or get a new apartment. Your donation could help buy a bike so someone can get to their new job. Little things that may not seem like much, make a big difference. Learn more about how Turning Point helps by clicking here.
Many people we see for mental health care, developmental disabilities and substance use disorders fall below the poverty scale. If you are working through a mental health problem or you are in recovery from a substance use disorder and have a newborn to care for, you have to work twice as hard. If you don’t have to worry about where the next meal is coming from, you have a much better chance of success in your recovery. Lily’s House was established to help new mothers stay sober for themselves and their new baby. Learn more about Lily’s House and other substance use treatment options for pregnant or parenting women here.
Things like musical instruments and sand trays are used to help children express thoughts and feelings that they may not yet have the words to explain. Our Center for Specialized Children’s Services includes Early Childhood Mental Health, Testing and Assessments for things like Autism or ADHD along with other programs
designed specifically for children. Learn more about Children’s Services here.
