Kentucky IMPACT Services

The Kentucky IMPACT Program was established in 1990 in every region in the state.  It was developed to assist children with Severe Emotional Disabilities (SED) who are receiving institutional care or are at risk of placement outside of their homes.

How We Help:

Most children have a better chance of succeeding when they receive care at or near their homes, surrounded by loving families and supportive environments.  That’s where the IMPACT Program can help.  IMPACT assists in creating and coordinating services which allow children with emotional disabilities to receive care at home or in their communities.  IMPACT is designed to be a short-term intervention to assist parents or caregivers with accomplishing their families’ goals

IMPACT consists of both the traditional Targeted Case Management (Service Coordination) program as well as a High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) process.  HFW is aimed at families with more intensive needs and is provided by facilitators who serve a maximum of 10 children/youth at a time.  This allows the HFW Facilitators to spend more time with each family, supporting them in meeting their goals and becoming connected with supports and community resources in order to help them thrive.

Anyone can refer a child for Kentucky IMPACT Services by completing a referral form (with the parent/guardian’s permission to do so.)
