Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s Center for Crisis Services provides immediate, short-term support for adults experiencing a mental health crisis.
As part of the Fuller Center Campus in Mayfield, Kentucky, the Crisis Center operates an 10-bed, five-room Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit. Crisis Stabilization is a vital component of Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s commitment to serving the community with accessible, compassionate behavioral health care.
Walk-in appointments are welcome during regular business hours at select locations.

The Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit provides:
The unit is designed to help individuals regain stability while remaining connected to the community whenever possible.
Upon admission, individuals receive:
A comprehensive assessment
Development of individualized treatment goals
Determination of a potential length of stay
Clients receiving crisis care are typically experiencing a mental health state that presents a risk to themselves or others. Care focuses on stabilization, safety, and support.
Most individuals are assessed over a 72-hour period, during which clinicians determine whether additional treatment or services are recommended.
Following crisis stabilization:
Individuals may be referred to ongoing outpatient counseling
Additional services may be recommended to support long-term wellness
The goal of crisis services is to help individuals return to a stable level of functioning within the community and connect them with appropriate next steps in care.
