Four Rivers Behavioral Health’s William H. Fuller Center is committed to providing the best possible care for clients with substance abuse disorders and for clients with substance abuse disorders in conjunction with other mental health concerns.
Our staff has years of experience providing successful addiction treatment services to clients throughout the region. We recognize the challenges faced by those suffering with a substance abuse disorder and realize it is a struggle to choose to live a sober life and remain drug and alcohol free.
Our approach to care is to review each program participant’s history and tailor a recovery plan for each individual to ensure their success.
Our team of clinical experts work to provide a caring and nurturing environment where substance abuse can be addressed through our detoxification and recovery programs.
Clients are never judged and many of our staff are in recovery and know, first hand, the challenges of living substance free.
It takes courage, guidance, structure and commitment to become sober. Most importantly – it takes help. We work with clients to determine what led to their substance abuse, deal with the ‘wreckage of the past’ and build the framework for a new sober life.

Treatment Models
The Fuller Residential Substance Abuse Center is a licensed residential treatment program for adults. The facility provides services to both men and women.
Our treatment model is 12-step based and utilizes proven methods of treatment such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Treatment also includes the recognition of “Stages of Change” in the recovery process and the use of Recovery Dynamics curriculum. We work closely with therapists and clinicians to address co-occurring mental health disorders. Providing structure to our clients and emphasizing self-accountability enable residents to break old habits and “relearn” how to live and improving their ability to function and achieve recovery. Our treatment focus includes both inside and outside 12-step meetings to help clients focus on the first step “We admitted we were powerless and that our lives had become unmanageable.”.
Support from family and friends is an important part of the recovery process. Our family program consists of education and group therapy to help family members understand the disease concept of addiction, relapse, self care and techniques to improve relationships.

FRBH Intensive Outpatient
Program
About the IOP
The Fuller Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program is designed to provide addiction treatment while allowing clients to continue to work and be with family.
Our program is structured around the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s Living in Balance for Substance Abuse curriculum along with addressing grief, forgiveness, shame and guilt, communication techniques, boundaries and the family dynamic.
Participants receive individual and group therapy along with other educational activities. Support from family and friends is an important part of the recovery process and during the program, family members are asked to participate formally in two sessions and are encouraged to attend educational and group therapy activities.
Advantages to IOP
There are many advantages to our Intensive Outpatient Program. Living at home and continuing to be able to work or go to school gives clients stability during the first stages of recovery.
The program is similar to our residential treatment option and offers all the same benefits however, at a much lower cost.
Further, clients have the opportunity to apply what they learn, as they learn it, into their daily life.
Manage the Expectations
Here are a few things to expect when deciding to participate in treatment:
- Random Drug Screens will occur often during the program.
- You will be required to attend daily meetings for a 12 step program such as Alcoholics Anonymous.
- You must be able to have the ability to understand treatment materials and must not be hindered by medical issues and withdrawal symptoms must be safely managed.
- A support system is crucial to a long lasting recovery. We encourage family and friends to participate in the treatment process.
